Forgery Suspect Nabbed In Wethersfield Linked To Kentucky Heist

(Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC) - Wethersfield police are releasing more details on the arrest of a man wanterd in connection with the theft of money from an armored car in Kentucky.

Officers say they were called to the DMV office on State Street Wednesday after 29-year-old Mark Espinosa allegedly attempted to obtain a drivers license using a forged birth certificate.


While being processed, it was learned Espinosa was wanted by the FBI in Louisville for theft of interstate shipment.  

It turns out, Espinosa was linked to the theft last month of money from an armored car company for which he worked.

Wethersfield Police say an investigation into a home in Middletown turned up a significant amount of cash.

Espinosa is expected to be turned over to FBI officials to face charges.
