MERIDEN, CONN(WTIC RADIO)-A woman has been charged with carrying a large butcher knife after an incident today, police said.
Police were called to a residence on Foster Street for a report of an assault in progress. As police were on their way, they were told the suspect left the scene.
An officer matched the description of the suspect and police arrested Caley Haas, 31, on Lewis Avenue. Police determined Haas went to the victim's residence multiple times demanding property and displaying a large butcher knife. Police located the knife she carried. Haas was charged with carrying a dangerous instrument.
Nobody was injured. Haas was held on $5000 surety bond.
