Fentanyl Overdoses Still at Crisis Level

(Hartford, Conn. WTIC)-House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora says part of the collateral impact from the Pandemic is drug addiction, fueled by counterfeit pressed pills sold on the street that are laced with fentanyl.
Candelora was joined by stakeholders, including two women who lost their sons to a drug overdose. Another participant works for an organization that aids law enforcement regarding drug enforcement. He says the perception that these drugs bought on the street are produced in pharmacies is wrong. He says they're originating from the Mexican drug cartels. Some purchases are also made through the dark web.
