Keith doesn't see 'headcase' Carlos Rodon working out in New York

Carlos Rodon struggled once again for the Yankees on Tuesday night, losing his fifth straight start after allowing four runs in the first inning to send the Yanks to another loss before the game could even begin.

Rodon has now allowed 27 runs in his last 23 innings, and Keith is getting fed up with the lefty’s struggles while showing his outward frustration on the mound and in the dugout.

“The fake tough guy thing, I can’t with it,” Keith said. “The fake mad and emotion after the pressure is off because you blew it, I can’t with it.

“He’s gotta lock in and have some kind of poker face. He’s gotta control his emotions a lot better. I’m glad he’s not crying, but at the same time, I can’t watch this dude anymore.”

Rodon showed visible frustration after Aaron Boone pulled him during his previous outing against the Reds, and Keith says he has had enough with watching Rodon’s behavior on the mound while the results are not close to being acceptable.

“He’s reverting back to what he was last year,” Keith said. “I think he’s a headcase. I don’t see him working here in New York…he’s supposed to be an ace behind [Gerrit] Cole. He’s paid like one.”
