Detroit police searching for multiple Croc-wearing thieves who sprayed victims with unknown chemical during store robbery

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are continuing to search for several suspects, three of whom were wearing Crocs, who allegedly shoplifted from a Detroit store and attacked two victims by spraying them with a chemical last month.

Detroit police said the incident occurred on Monday, November 27th, in broad daylight after two men and five women entered at store in the 10000 block of Greenfield and began grabbing items just before 2:20 p.m.

Two people inside the store confronted the victims, police added, but one of the suspects sprayed both victims in the eyes with an unknown chemical.

The alleged thieves managed to elude police and investigators are turning to the public for help in tracking them down.

Detroit police said three of the female suspects appeared to be wearing all black clothing with white stripes on their pants. Each of these suspects wore different colored Crocs shoes: pink, white, and black.

Another female suspect wore a beige jacket, black pants and black shoes. The fifth female suspect wore an orange coat, black pants with white stripes and yellow boots.

When describing the male suspect, police stated: "The first male suspect was wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. The second male suspect was wearing a navy blue jacket with an orange hood, black pants and red shoes."
