DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is making a return this Sunday after the COVID-19 pandemic canceled festivities each of the last two years.

The event draws tens of thousands of people to Michigan Avenue in Corktown -- the oldest neighborhood in the city and the heart of Detroit’s Irish-American population.

WWJ's Zach Clark spoke to parade co-chair Mike Kelly to get a look into the history of one of Detroit’s most popular events and what's in store this year on today’s episode of The Daily J.

Sunday’s parade is set to step off at 1 p.m. in Corktown. More details can be found on detroitstpatricksparade.com.
