DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are hoping someone in the public will call in with a tip about a child who went missing on the east side over the weekend.
According to the Detroit Police Department, 12-year-old Arleyah Mullen left her home in the 2100 block of E. Willis, near St. Aubin Street, at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 19.
The pre-teen did not have permission to go out, police said, and was reported missing by her family when she didn't come home.
Arleyah is classified as a missing/runaway juvenile and has been missing at least one other time; back in September of this year. It is unclear how long she was missing the last time, or where she was located.
Arleyah is described as a Black female, 5'3'' tall and weighing 120 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink sweater, blue jeans, and white ‘Air Force 1’ shoes.
Anyone who may have seen this missing child, or who has any information about her whereabouts should call the DPD's 7th Precinct at 313-596-5701, or the Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587).
As always, those who call Crime Stoppers will stay 100% anonymous, and will not be required to speak to police. The public can also submit anonymous tips online at this link.
