New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees is planning on practicing this week to see how his throwing hand feels. He could be ready to play against the Arizona Cardinals.
Should Brees wait, he'll get an extra week to heal because the Saints have a bye following the Cardinals game before taking on the Atlanta Falcons who have been struggling this season. We asked some folks downtown if they feel he should come back this week or wait.
"He should absolutely wait until after the bye week, no doubt about it," one Saints fan said.
"We have the bye week so he's got plenty of time to heal and be 100 percent," another man told us. "Don't push it, don't push it." "I don't know if they should start him, I means maybe give him a couple of rotations just to get back in the flow," this fans said. "He is a veteran, it's not like he really needs it."
But this man said if Drew Brees is ready he should go in."Bridgewater is good but if Brees wants to play, let him play," he said.
"Drew should wait, sit out and come back against the Falcons," this Who Dat said. "Give his hand more time to heal"
"I think Drew should sit out until the Falcons game and give Teddy another chance because he's been playing really well," said one lady.
Just like the Arizona Cardinals this week, the Saints will play the Falcons at home, after the bye week.
