A New Orleans chef known for his barbecue is alive and well, after it was feared he was dead.
New Orleans Police were investigating an unclassified death discovered this morning near France Rd. and Poland Ave. Multiple media outlets had reported that family members identified the body as that of Demietriek Scott.
Scott had been reported missing to NOPD on Saturday, having last been heard from nearly two weeks ago.
But as reporters gathered outside the family's home Monday afternoon for an update on the story, they got an update no one expected. Scott walked up to the scene and explained he needed some time for himself, and that is why no one had heard from him for several days.
