A shooting in the Tremé has left two people in the hospital and police searching for the assailant.
According to NOPD officials, the shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. Sunday on Laharpe Street near North Dorgenois.
According to an entry in the NOPD's Major Offense Log, the victims were outside talking, one of them seated inside his vehicle, when the suspect walked up and began shooting at both of them. The suspect then ran away.
EMS crews to the victims to the hospital. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
