Mural of George Floyd struck by lightning, reduced to rubble

A mural of George Floyd in north Toledo, Ohio was reduced to rubble when it was reportedly struck by lightning on Tuesday.

Toledo Fire and Rescue responded to the location of the mural at Summit and Lagrange Streets. When they arrived, they found the mural of Floyd had totally collapsed, WWLTV reported.

Toledo artist David Ross had created the mural almost a year ago and said that the artwork stands as a memorial and reminder never to forget what happened that day in May of 2020.
