(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Kane County is helping seniors who are having trouble arranging for COVID-19 vaccinations because of technology hurdles.
Michael Issacson, the county's assistant director of community health, says most opportunities to arrange for vaccinations are online. But many seniors either don't have computers or are uncomfortable with doing things online, he adds.
Kane County seniors can get help by calling the county's human services hotline, 2-1-1, Issacson said Friday.
He also recommends seniors contact their doctors or local pharmacies. They can arrange for vaccinations when supplies are available.
