CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating a robbery at gunpoint early this morning outside a North Side gym.
The man was walking toward his vehicle about 4:15 a.m. Monday morning on Ashland near School Street in Lakeview, when two men, both armed with handguns, approached him and demanded his belongings. An XSport Fitness is nearby.
Police said the man gave them what he had. No one was hurt. No one is in custody.
The robbery is adding to the safety concerns of residents in the Lakeview area, as the city continues to struggle with the issue of crime.
