A video recorded by Walker's family shows his reaction to watching the video from Cap.

Evans who plays Captain America in the Marvel film series greeted Walker and gave him one heck of a commendation.

"Hey Bridger, Captain America here ... Pal, you're a hero!" said Evans in the video as Walker and his sister watch.

Walker even donned a Captain America costume for the occasion. His scar is still visible from the dog attack under his mask.

"What you did was so brave, so selfless. Your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you," continued Evans in the video.

"I'm gonna send you an authentic Captain America shield. Because pal, you deserve it," said Evans as Walker cracked a smile that would melt adamantium.

"Keep being the man you are. We need people like you. Hang in there. I know recovery might be tough but based on what I've seen. I don't think there's much that can slow you down," said Evans with a salute.

His family suggested all the fun he could have with the shield including taking it with them everywhere including jiu-jitsu tournaments.

Walker said prudently, "I don't think that's a good idea."
