Hosted by Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson and Peyton Manning with show-stopping performances by Jelly Roll with Brooks & Dunn, Eric Church, Shaboozey, Cody Johnson with Carrie Underwood and so many more, it was a show no Country fan would want to miss, and won’t have to now that it is available to stream on Hulu.
Morgan Wallen was this year’s top nominee with seven nominations, but it was Chris Stapleton who took home the most trophies with three wins which included Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.
It was also a big night for Old Dominion who secured their seventh, consecutive, Vocal Group of the Year win. Their trophy makes CMA history as they became the new leaders for consecutive wins in the Vocal Group of the Year category. It puts them ahead of former record holders, Little Big Town, who held the record with six back-to-back wins.
Other highlights include Megan Moroney topping off a big year for herself with a New Artist of the Year win, Brooks & Dunn securing their 15th Vocal Duo of the Year win and Lainey Wilson collecting her third Female Vocalist of the Year trophy.
The biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year, went to Morgan Wallen who was not in attendance.
