Jon Pardi is back with new music, which also happens to be the first taste off his next album. “Last Night Lonely” has been welcomed by all as the first single off Pardi’s anticipated new album, his first in three years.

“I haven’t put a new record out in three years,” Pardi admitted to Audacy’s Coop. “I know it’s a pain sometimes, but you can see the excitement out there. You can see [it’s] overdue with a lot of fans like, ‘It’s time Jon,’ comments, like ‘You need a damn new record!’”
Their wish is Jon’s command as he is currently entering the last stages of selecting songs for the new project and will start making final decisions soon.
So what drew Pardi to release “Last Night Lonely” as the first hint of the upcoming project?
“It just had that kind of swagger to it, you know?” He said of the first time he heard the song. “It was competent and a lot of the lyrics had great images for somebody to think about… Just really well-written. Got a good beat behind it and something you can dance to…It’s just a jam!”
The excitement and fan response to the single has motivated Pardi to keep going through the long, and often grueling process of creating a record. One he says is always worth it in the end.
“People are excited and that’s worth all the emotional roller coasters,” Pardi said after admitting his favorite part of completing an album is the release. “We work so hard on picking a right song and by the time it’s out, the fans are going nuts and then they start singing it back live. I mean, that’s why we make records.”
Can’t wait to go nuts over the rest of the album, because if “Last Night Lonely” is any indicator, we are in for one hell of an album!
