It's just a couple of CMA Award winners chatting when Lainey Wilson joined Rob + Holly recently for the Friday Night Takeover. The Entertainer of the Year talked with the Daily National Broadcast Personalities of the Year about her experience hosting Country Music's Biggest Night, her wide-ranging line of Christmas merch, and her cooking skills on cusp of getting married.

"My goal was to just try to remind everybody how cool it is that we get to do this," Lainey said of her turn hosting the 59th Annual CMA Awards. "I just, I wanted it to feel like a big old celebration, and that's what it felt like for me at least."
With a new Christmas EP out now, Peace, Love, and Cowboys, the Lainey Wilson merch store went hard featuring Lainey stockings, ornaments, wrapping paper and more. But don't expect a Lainey Wilson cookbook to hit the shelf anytime soon. "You don't want a cookbook for me," smiles Lainey "I'm not gonna say like I'm not good at it, I just haven't done it enough. I feel like I'm always on the go where I don't really just have time to cook a good meal. But hopefully this Christmas season I'm gonna challenge myself to try to cook Duck a few meals because he's gotta see that I'm actual real wife material."
"I think he's OK with everything else that's going on," laughs Rob. "You don't have to cook."
"He wants to know he's gonna starve to death," Wilson retorts, noting that her soon-to-be-husband Duck is a good cook in his own right. "Yes, he can throw it down," she exclaims. "He can just whip it up, and even if I am in the kitchen trying to do something, he'll come in there and he'll like start putting stuff in the skillet, and I'm like, 'hold up, mind your business.'"
