Shannen Doherty got emotional during a reunion with former cast mates at ‘90s Con recently.
Doherty participated in a panel at the nostalgic conference in Tampa, Fla. with fellow “Beverly Hills 90210” cast including Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, and Tori Spelling.
“Thank you so much,” Doherty told the rapturous crowd, according to Good Morning America. “You guys know how much I love crying constantly. And I do, it seems. So, thank you.”
Doherty’s emotional acceptance of the large applause came just months after she revealed serious health news.
In an Instagram video posted in June, the actor revealed she had surgery at the beginning of 2023 to remove a metastatic tumor in her head.
“I had a tumor in my head they wanted to remove and also biopsy. I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified. The fear was overwhelming to me. Scared of all possible bad outcomes, worried about leaving my mom and how that would impact her,” she captioned the post.
“Worried that I would come out of surgery not me anymore. This is what cancer can look like,” she finished.
Doherty did not provide her fans at ‘90s Con with a specific health update, but did say she’s battling.
“I have a fight for my life that I deal with every day,” she said.
