LOOK: Illinois Firefighters Take Photos With Daughter Of Volunteer Killed In Car Accident

SWANSEA, Ill. (Y98) - The daughter of a fallen volunteer firefighter and the members of her father's crew at the Swansea Fire Department participated in a very special photo shoot.
On April 4, Swansea volunteer firefighter Brett Korves, 30, was killed when a car that was fleeing from police struck his vehicle. He left behind a wife and 10-month-old son. Then a few weeks later, his wife Alex Korves discovered she was pregnant.
Her new-born daughter, Brett Grace Korves, recently took some photos with their father's crew members, which were shared by Sugarfoot Photography.
Korves' wife had a heartfelt message to go along with the photos:
A foundation has been started in Brett Korves' name, with the mission to help families of first responders who were killed outside the line of duty, like Korves.
