How important is it for Jessica Simpson to watch her weight? Not at all, as it turns out. In fact, she threw out her scale, because it was as useful as "a Ouija board in church."

In a recent interview with "Today," Simpson revealed that she actually has no idea how much she weighs at the moment, and it's all thanks to her recent move to ditch the scale.

"I have no idea how much I weigh, I just want to be able to feel good and zip my pants up. If I don't, I have another size. I have every size. I've really tried my hardest to not let that define me," she said.

Simpson has been very open recently about her struggles with her body image, especially with the release of her 2020 bestselling memoir "Open Book."

In the book, she talks about how people's words stung when they began to tell her she was fat.

"Why does this cruel opinion of the world get to me?" she wrote in a journal entry that was published in the book. Now, Simpson is using a changed perspective to focus primarily on her health rather than her weight.

"There is a wonderful movement for body positivity now and the response to that portion of my story has been overwhelmingly supportive," she told Poeple in March.

She continued, "I don't think people always realized that there was a human being, a beating heart and working eyes with actual feelings behind those headlines and that words can hurt and stay with you for a lifetime."
