We can always count on Kelly to pull a ditty out of her talk show guests -- and she did just that with Frasier star Kelsey Grammer during his recent visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show.

On Tuesday's program (1/9), Kelly Clarkson welcomed actor Kelsey Grammer -- who starred as psychiatrist Frasier Crane in the popular Cheers spin-off Frasier -- taking center stage together for a duet of the show's iconic theme song "Tossed Salads & Scrambled Eggs," originally sung by Grammer as the credits rolled.
For her "Kellyoke" segment on Tuesday, the pair took the stage smiling as Grammer told the audience, "Y'all know how this goes,” over the jazzy opening before both Kelly and Kelsey traded verses, coming together for the line, “But I don’t know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs. Life’s calling again.”
“Thank you for jamming out with me,” Clarkson, a massive fan of the series, told Grammer. "This is like a dream come true for me, y'all. 'Frasier' is one of my favorites, you have no idea. I’m freaking out right now.”
"Tossed Salads & Scrambled Eggs" was originally written by composer Bruce Miller, who was asked by the show's creators to write a theme without mentioning anything about the lead character’s career. As the story goes, Miller called his friend, actor Darryl Phinnesse, who suggested “Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs” as things that were also “mixed up” like Frasier’s patients.
