The festival revealed today that R&B-Pop icon Mariah Carey and Hip-Hop star Megan Thee Stallion will be headlining the music festival portions, set to take place June 9 (Mariah Carey) and June 10 (Megan Thee Stallion) to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Additional performing artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

In a statement, Megan Thee Stallion expressed her excitement to perform at a festival she sees as “an incredible event [that] advocates for diversity, inclusivity and equality." Meanwhile, Carey conveyed she is “thrilled and honored to be a part of L.A. Pride, to celebrate love and inclusion.”

Gerald Garth, board president of L.A. Pride added, “Having two women of color headline the event was very intentional. Both have been groundbreaking in their own rights by centering women’s empowerment.”

He continued, “Mariah’s been a fan favorite among the LGBT community for decades, and she’s been a great friend and supporter, and Megan is the same.”
