ApartmentAdvisor.com released a report on the U.S. cities with the highest and lowest percentage of apartments that allow dogs. And Texas had FOUR in the top 10, including the two most dog-friendly cities: Austin and San Antonio.
Memphis, Tennessee is third, followed by Houston, Texas . . . New York City . . . Oklahoma City . . . Chicago . . . Dallas, Texas . . . Columbus, Ohio . . . and Portland, Oregon. Philadelphia and Louisville, Kentucky tied for 10th.
The cities with the lowest percentage of dog-friendly apartments are Providence, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C.
San Jose, California has the third lowest, followed by Boston . . . San Francisco . . . Hartford, Connecticut . . . Milwaukee . . . Charlotte, North Carolina . . . Cleveland . . . Kansas City . . . Sacramento, California . . . and Virginia Beach.
Overall, 49% of all the available units were advertised as "dog-friendly," and only 30% were advertised as "large-dog-friendly."
