HonestPaws.com looked through Google Trends to find the type of dog each state googled the most in the past year. And the list is surprisingly diverse.
24 different breeds were #1 in at least one state. And only six breeds got more than two states. But there was still a clear winner . . .
1. Bulldogs. They were the most-searched dog breed in 10 different states . . . including Illinois and Georgia, which makes sense because of the Georgia Bulldogs.
2. Havanese. They're next with five states . . . New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Nebraska, and Idaho.
3. Four breeds got three states each: Cocker spaniels in Alabama, South Carolina, and Utah . . . German shepherds in Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia . . . Golden retrievers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin . . . and Greyhounds in Colorado, Connecticut, and Kansas.
4. And six breeds got two states each: Boxers, Dachshunds, Corgis, Pugs, Samoyeds, and West Highland Terriers which are big in Missouri and Washington, D.C.
