DJ Khaled is gearing up to drop his twelfth studio album Khaled Khaled, and while Kanye West isn’t featured on the track list, not even the updated one, the two recently linked up to preview new music for one another.
Here's how it went down, Kanye showed up at Khaled's for an impromptu visit, at 8AM mind you, and the two proceeded exchanged tunes, unsurprisingly Khaled danced, and Kanye even requested some breakfast, which also was not that surprising.
Khaled shared proof of the encounter with a brief clip in the first of two IG posts. In the vid Khaled, Kanye and Apple Music Head of Content Larry Jackson are seen in the studio. As Khaled hops around to the track, both Kanye and Jackson nonchalantly bop their heads.
Khaled accompanied the footage with the following caption, “TRUE STORY: Kanye popped up at my house the other day at 8 AM! I did not know he was coming! He played me his music and I played him Khaled Khaled.” And while we don’t actually see them feast, Khaled also mentioned that Ye, “also asked my chef Melissa Zuniga for some eggs and ketchup.”
In the second post, Yezzus has his arms up in the air, which Khaled let us know was a direct response to hearing something “AMAZING” on Khaled Khaled. “You know when you get this expression that it’s sounding AMAZING,” he wrote in the caption. “This album GODS HANDS IS ALL OVER IT.”
And while we don’t doubt it, since it’s just a picture we’ll have to wait and hear the album to thoroughly check. Speaking of the picture, many - including us, noticed that Kanye is still wearing his wedding band, despite both he and Kim having filed for divorce.
I mean… Kim still sports all things Yeezy. Seems as though this pair is still “Bound 2” each other, despite what the court documents say, Uh-huh honey.
As for hearing the majestic sounds that made Kanye reach up to the heavens, well that's just around the corner. Khaled Khaled is set to drop at midnight - April 30.
