How To See the “Corn Full Moon” This Week!

corn full moon

As you may know by now, I get a little excited (okay-overly excited, who am I kidding) about full moons, eclipses, and anything involving the stars- which is why I’m letting you know that tomorrow, Sept 2nd at 1:22am, the “Corn” full moon will be 100% full!

“The Corn Moon gets its name from the Native Americans, according to the Farmers Almanac. This moon was an indicator that it was time to harvest the corn. This moon can get confusing because it can also be called the Harvest Moon, or the moon that occurs closet to the autumnal equinox. Depending on the year and when the phase of the moon falls, it can be both.” Personally, I love watching the moon rise just as the sun is setting over the horizon!
