This past Saturday, Lizzo was named the Entertainer of the Year at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards. In her speech, she celebrated all of her "heroes" who she was able to meet at the ceremony, including Angela Bassett, and focused on her efforts to spreading her body positive messages she has incorporated through her music and performances. She also thanked the civil rights organization for “accepting me for exactly who I am.”
