Yesterday I went on a run around the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, and I guess thanks to nostalgia/wishful thinking of drinking Orange Crushes out on their swings, I took a detour past The Shack.
To my surprise, I saw that The Shack had turned itself into a mini open-air farmer’s market! While you can still order delicious alcoholic beverages to-go (thank god), you also can buy tons of plants, flowers, and herbs, all perfect for starting or adding to your garden, and can even fill up a flat a la cart for $23! I think I fell in love.
They also offer tons of fresh and cooked seafood, meat, fruits, cheese, dips and sauces, sandwiches, random things like candles, iodized salts, and even toilet paper, with curbside pickup options (I watched a car with a couple of adorable old ladies get super excited when their order came to them on the side of Pacific Ave lol). Basically, anything your heart desires, you can get from The Shack. I’m definitely making my way back here this weekend.
