Warning: you may cry while watching this short film. NFL player turned Oscar-nominated director Matthew Cherry created one of the most touching and beautiful short-films I've ever seen, and I may or may not have been crying at 7:30 this morning during it. Seriously, grab the tissues.
"Hair Love" is about an African American dad who learns how to do his young daughter's hair.
"I just wanted to normalize it and kind of shine a light cause often times black men get a bad rap in not being involved in their kids' lives and I really wanted to showcase a strong black family unit and show that dads are present" Cherry told Good Morning America Thursday morning.
