Ahhh Super Bowl Sunday...a time where you can eat to your heart's content on chips and dip and scream at the TV, pretending to care about football when actually you're just waiting for the commercials and the Halftime Show (or maybe I'm just describing myself). A survey was done that showed each state's favorite Super Bowl side dish...and some states' replies made me want to ask their residents, "Who hurt you?"
Virginia, of course, was normal and delicious...buffalo chicken dip...mmmmmmmm. But here were some weeeeeeird ones:
Iowa- Irish stew
Massachusetts- Gluten-free Pretzels (oddly specific)
Mississippi- granola bars (the whole point is to pig-out, not be healthy!)
Montana- Lentil Soup (what's this trend with the M states?!)
Oklahoma- Chicken Noodle Soup (I thought people only ate this when they were sick)
Oregon- Banana Bread (ok grandma)
Vermont- Lasagna (unless you're Garfield, this is not an acceptable favorite Super Bowl side)
