NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released surveillance on Friday of a man they said groped a teen girl as she entered her Bronx apartment building.
Officials said earlier this week, at approximately 7 p.m., the 17-year-old girl was followed into the building located near East 163 Street and Union Avenue.
Once inside, police say the suspect grabbed the girl's buttocks, placed his hand over her mouth and began to forcibly touch her upper torso area.
The girl was able to break free and began yelling and the suspect fled onto Union Avenue.
Police say no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as an adult man with a dark complexion, medium build approximately 5'5" tall, weighing 160 pounds, with short black hair and a mustache.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers, a black backpack and gray pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
