NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Two men were killed and one woman was injured in a Newark shooting Saturday night, authorities said.

Newark officers found the victims after responding to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of Shephard Avenue at 11:30 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said in a statement on Sunday.

Isaiah Cobb, 33, of Hillside, suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:45 p.m.

Terrance Carroll, 51, of Newark, was also discovered with an apparent gunshot wound.

He was transported to University Hospital and was pronounced dead at 12:13 a.m.

A woman was injured at the scene and was being evaluated at a local hospital on Sunday. Her identity and the extent of her injuries have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing, and though no arrests have been made, authorities said there appears to be no threat to the public.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the prosecutor’s confidential tip line at 1-877-TIPS-4EC or 1-877-847-7432.

The shooting was at least the second in the city on Saturday night in which multiple people were shot, around an hour after a man and a woman were hurt, NJ.com reported.

Authorities told the outlet that the double shooting happened on Van Buren Street, just a couple of blocks from the annual Portugal Day Festival. However, an organizer said the incident did not affect the festival.
