
PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A man and a teenage boy were fatally shot and three other men were injured overnight after Independence Day in Paterson, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The shooting took place near the intersection of Jersey Street and Oliver Street around 2:39 a.m., July 5, police said.
A 26-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were pronounced dead after EMS brought them to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.
A 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old man each arrived at the same hospital by their own means with gunshot wounds. Another 19-year-old man arrived at the Hackensack University Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and police have not yet made any arrests.
