
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a gunman after a 13-year-old boy was shot in Harlem early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. at the courtyard outside the Harlem Interfaith apartment building located at West 143rd Street, officials said.
The teen was shot in the ankle, the NYPD said.
EMS transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
It is unclear if the teen was the intended target.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
