2 Nassau County police officers attacked trying to break up house fight: police

INWOOD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Two Nassau County police officers were attacked as they attempted to break up a brawl at an Inwood home Friday morning, police said.

Police responded to a disturbance at a home on Maple Road just before 8:30 a.m.

Once there, police said the officers observed multiple people fighting inside.

As they tried to control the fight, Kayja T. Gross, 27, and Arbia Holden, 25, both of Trenton, allegedly assaulted the officers. Both were then taken into custody.

Gross is charged with resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and second-degree assault. Holden is charged with resisting arrest, second-degree harassment and second-degree assault.

Both are set to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
