
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A jogger in Jersey City’s Lincoln Park discovered a body on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The jogger alerted a Hudson County Sheriff’s Officer who was nearby on patrol around 2:30 p.m., officials said.
Both the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the death and it has been ruled as not being suspicious.
“Sadly, today a dead body was found in Lincoln Park and the matter has been thoroughly investigated by our office as well as the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office,” said a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, who’s leading the investigation. “Residents should continue to feel safe in Hudson County Parks as this death did not occur under suspicious circumstances. As more information is available, we will let the public know.”
