GLEN COVE, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The body of a man was found floating at a marina on Long Island, Nassau County police said Tuesday.

The disturbing discovery was made Monday morning at the Safe Harbor Marina on Shore Road in Glen Cove.

Someone called 911 around 8:30 a.m. to report that a person was floating in the water.

Glen Cove police responded, along with Nassau County’s marine bureau and emergency service unit.

A 68-year-old man was recovered from the water and pronounced dead just after 10:45 a.m., police said.

An investigation into his death is ongoing.
