ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A missing man was found dead at the base of a New Jersey lookout on Sunday, authorities confirmed Monday.
At about 5 p.m., Palisades Interstate Parkway Police officers found an abandoned vehicle at Rockefeller Lookout in Englewood Cliffs, officials said.
The vehicle was registered to a 54-year-old man who had been reported missing and endangered by Clifton Police Department on Friday after officials were contacted by the man’s brother.
Members of the New Jersey Search and Rescue along with the East Bergen Rappel Team discovered the man's body after searching the area extensively, police said.
Officials are investigating the man's death, but it does not appear to be suspicious, according to Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Lt. Raymond E. Walter.
Authorities did not release the man’s name.
