BRICK TOWNSHIP (1010 WINS) — A Brick Township special police officer, an auxiliary officer responsible for some light police work, was arrested on Tuesday after authorities found child pornography on his computer, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

John Kisch, 57, came under suspicion during a New Jersey State Police investigation into online child pornography. Officials identified an IP address associated with Kisch’s home as the source of child abuse material uploaded online.

On Tuesday, police raided Kisch’s home, seized his computer and arrested him. An investigation revealed more than 100 child pornography images on the device.

Kisch is a Brick Township class one special police officer. These officers are responsible for crowd control, cell inspections, some traffic details, booking arrestees and other light police work.

He’s being held at Ocean County Jail ahead of his detention hearing.

“We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to protect the most vulnerable among us,” said Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley  Billhimer. “Children are most deserving of our unwavering commitment to investigating and prosecuting these types of offenses.”
