The Connecticut Department of Public Health announced Sue Mcintosh's license would be suspended after an anonymous complaint alleged the retired physician and surgeon authored fake exemption forms for COVID-19 vaccines, general vaccines, COVID testing and mask usage.

The agency alleges Mcintosh would send these signed, blank exemptions without ever seeing a patient and to anyone who sent a self-addressed stamped envelope to her — those included people who work in schools, the state and in long-term care.

"These actions by Dr. Mcintosh are irresponsible and unacceptable," DPH Commissioner Manisha Juthani said. "Her practice of medicine represents a clear and immediate danger to the public health and safety of our communities. The suspension of her license should serve as a warning to other practitioners that this conduct deviates from the standard of care and is subject to serious discipline."

The board will review the allegations against her to determine whether or not to revoke her license.
