NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash and pileup on the Long Island Expressway in Long Island City on Friday morning, officials said.
The FDNY received a call shortly before 9 a.m. about the crash on the LIE, near 25th Street by the Queens–Midtown Tunnel.
Citizen App video shows multiple vehicles involved in the crash, with reports saying around nine vehicles wrecked. Some of them were left stacked on top of each other by the impact, video shows.
Four people were rushed to hospitals, one in critical condition and three in serious condition, the FDNY said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The crash snarled traffic, which was backed up to Elmhurst.
