NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Long Island woman who allegedly drunkenly sped down a street in her car and crashed into several parked vehicles, killing one person, has been indicted on more than a dozen charges, the Nassau County District Attorney announced Monday.

The woman, 28-year-old Tasha Brown, was driving at 90 mph on Front Street and Hendrickson Avenue in Hempstead just after 4:30 a.m. with three passengers in tow, authorities said.
Brown allegedly veered off of the road and hit several parked cars along the way, including a 2010 Toyota Corolla with a 29-year-old man inside.
The man, Nelson Fuentes, died as a result of the crash. Brown and her passengers were also injured.
All involved were taken to Nassau University Medical Center where Fuentes was later pronounced dead.
“Anyone can become a victim of drunk driving. It is imperative that we aggressively prosecute these cases to keep our roadways safe. Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this time,” said District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly.
Brown was arrested the same day of the accident and faces multiple charges including two counts of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, Manslaughter in the Second Degree, vehicular assault and reckless driving. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.
If convicted, Brown faces up to 25 years in prison. She is due back in court May 10.
