
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 1-year-old boy was killed in a blaze at a Queens house late Sunday night, fire officials confirmed.
The flames broke out at approximately 11 p.m. at the home located on 106th Avenue in Jamaica.
After fire officials were able to put out the fire, they discovered the child's body unconscious and unresponsive on the second floor of the home, police said.
The boy, was later identified as Jason Eli.
He was rushed to Cohen Children's Medical Center at Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
An investigation remains ongoing and the FDNY Fire Marshal will determine the cause of the fire.
