Girl, 13, beaten, robbed of sneakers outside Bronx deli; 3 suspects sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 13-year-old girl was beaten and robbed of her sneakers on a Bronx street last week, police said Wednesday as they released photos of three suspects wanted in the attack.

The girl was assaulted in the middle of the day outside a deli on Valentine Avenue, near E. 194th Street, in Fordham Manor, according to police.

She was in front of the deli around 3:30 p.m. on March 15 when three teens—a female and two males—ambushed her from behind, police said.

The female repeatedly kicked and punched the victim in the face, while her male accomplices kicked her in the stomach, according to police.

The trio snatched the girl’s sneakers and cellphone and then fled on foot, police said.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Police believe the suspects are between 16 and 18 years old.
