NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two men were fatally shot in Queens and the Bronx on Monday night, hours after a 64-year-old grandmother was gunned down in broad daylight by a stray bullet in Upper Manhattan, police said.

The pair of overnight killings happened over the span of about six hours.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the chest just after 9 p.m. in the Van Nest section of the Bronx.

NYPD officers responding to a 911 call found the victim shot at Van Nest Avenue and Melville Street.

EMS rushed the unidentified victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

Just hours later, a 35-year-old man was shot shortly before 3 a.m. at Sutphin Boulevard and 125th Avenue in Jamaica.

Responding police officers found him sitting in a Nissan Altima with a gunshot wound to his head.

EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene. He has not been identified.

Police said drugs were found in the Nissan with the victim, although it’s unclear what type of drugs or how much of them were uncovered.

The victim had two prior arrests, according to police.

The deadly shootings followed the fatal stray-bullet shooting of a 64-year-old grandmother and longtime resident in Inwood on Monday morning.

The victim, identified as Valeria Ortega, was shot in the head at Dyckman Street and Vermilyea Avenue as she was walking to a supermarket around 11:30 a.m.

EMS rushed Ortega to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem but she did not survive.

Police believe two people on a moped were aiming at someone else when they shot Ortega.

Ortega’s death came hours after a 26-year-old man was repeatedly shot and killed at East Tremont Avenue and Marmion Avenue in the Crotona section of the Bronx early Monday morning.

No arrests have been reported in any of the shootings.
