2 men injured during separate overnight shootings

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two separate overnight shootings in the city left two men injured, authorities said.

The first shooting happened around 2 a.m. outside of the Morris Houses on Washington Avenue and East 171st Street in Morrisania, police said.

A man was shot in the torso during the incident and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Shortly after, another man was injured after being shot in the chest around 3:30 a.m. on Amsterdam Avenue near West 146th Street in Harlem, officials said.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

Police are still investigating both incidents. No arrests have been made yet.
