2 men wounded in separate Harlem shootings; no arrests: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men were wounded in separate shootings just hours apart in Harlem on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

According to officials, a 20-year-old victim was shot in the left leg during a robbery with his attacker in front of the Martin Luther King Jr. Towers at 70 Lenox Ave. around 3:35 p.m.

The victim's cell phone was forcibly removed.

He was taken to Harlem Hospital by private means in a stable condition after the shooting, according to authorities.

Nearly two hours later, a 46-year-old male was shot in the leg at Lenox Avenue and West 144 Street, police said.

The victim was also transported to Harlem Hospital by private means in stable condition.

Police have not said if they believe the two shootings are connected.

No arrests were made in either incident and each investigation is ongoing.
