2 people injured in Bronx apartment building fire

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A fire at a Bronx apartment building Monday evening injured at least two people, FDNY officials said.

The fire broke out at 1408 Webster Avenue in Morrisania around 5:15 p.m.on the 15th floor of the 22-story building, authorities said.

Two people were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control just before 6 p.m.

It was not immediately clear how the fire started. The investigation remains ongoing.
