
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men were wounded, one critically, in separate Manhattan shootings within hours apart on Thursday, police said.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the torso around 5:40 p.m. at the corner of 43rd Street and 8th Avenue in Times Square, police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai West in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
No one is in custody, police said.
Hours before, an 18-year-old man was shot in the chest on Grand Street and Suffolk Street on the Lower East Side around 2:30 p.m, according to police.
He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
Multiple people have been arrested. The victim has been "uncooperative" during the investigation, according to police.
It's unclear at this time what sparked both shootings at this time.
Investigations are ongoing.
