NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is looking for six people in connection to a series of robberies across New York City since September, including one in which a store worker was pummeled in the face.

In the latest robbery on Monday night, three of the suspects stole a 35-year-old worker's cellphone inside a convenience store on 95-10 37th Ave. in Jackson Heights, Queens.

One of the suspects brandished a gun while the others proceeded to remove around $3,000 from the cash register and around $2,800 worth of merchandise, before they all fled.

According to the police, a total of six stores were struck by the suspects since their Sept. 12 heists began, netting the crooks $7,500 in cash and close to $5,900 worth of items.

They also repeatedly punched a 49-year-old store worker in the face and stole cellphones at knifepoint and gunpoint.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
